My word of the year for 2022 is FOUNDATION.<\/p>\n
From dictionary.com:

\n*the lowest division of a building, wall, or the like, usually of masonry and partly or wholly below the surface of the ground.

I chose FOUNDATION as my word for 2022 for three reasons.<\/p>\n
I’m planning to grow my business in some new directions this year, but I’ll build on the FOUNDATION of the values I started with: listening, loyalty, respect, and a sincere desire to help small business owners. I don’t ever want to grow away from those values. So instead, I’ll measure every new step by whether it fits them.<\/p>\n
As I grow my business, I’ll be creating a FOUNDATION for the future. I will build new offers, products, services, or partnerships to fit my values and to fit a sustainable business – for me. I want to make sure what I add to my business fits the future I am looking for. If I add something to my business that I can’t keep up with, it doesn’t help anyone.<\/p>\n
Finally, I’ll keep working on the systems and processes that form the FOUNDATION of my business. These are the “invisible” things like updating my invoicing, streamlining my content creation process, and up-leveling my skills. These kinds of “behind the scenes” tasks never go away. But with every improvement, new skill, or more efficient tool, my business is stronger and more prepared for whatever comes next.<\/p>\n
